Pender County Humane Society - A volunteer based non-profit organization funded by donations, memberships and fees. SOAR Southport Oak Island Animal Rescue - A no-kill three acre private, humanitarian facility, operated entirely by volunteers out of love for animals. It accommodates lost, abandoned and injured dogs and cats, giving our animal friends a chance at life, an opportunity to be loved and hopefully a new and loving adopted family.

Feral Friends

Alley Cat Allies - A national feral cat network, founded in 1990 that's a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization promoting non-lethal control for feral cat colonies and humane methods to reduce the population of feral cats.

Cat Pals - Totally run by volunteers, Cat Pals, Inc. is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. We supply food, water and medical care to feral and dumped or abandoned cats living in colonies along the 56-acre beachfront park known as Hollywood North Beach.

Feral Cat Coalition - An organization that traps and spays/neuters feral cats, then returns them to their caretakers. This service is provided to the community at no cost by licensed veterinarians and volunteers with one goal in mind: reducing the enormous number of homeless, unwanted cats.

Feral Cat Friends, Inc. - Addresses the overpopulation of unowned cats through the nonlethal management of feral colonies and the placement of adoptable cats and kittens into good homes. They support the nonlethal management of feral cat colonies by using the method of trap, spay/neuter, and return (TNR).

Friends of Feral Felines - A nonprofit organization committed to the humane management of feral cats in the Charlotte area. They help the public trap, sterilize, vaccinate and release feral cats.

Meower Power - A non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the care and management of feral cats in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. They offer a low cost spay/neuter program on a monthly basis.

Operation Catnip - An all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to humanely reducing the stray and feral cat population in the Wake, Durham, and Orange county area through a no-charge trap-neuter-return program.
